A New Printer Is It Going To Guzzle Your Money and Then Burp?

When was the last time you purchased a new printer? Did you find the correct printer you wanted? Did you panic and think the printer you needed was out of your price range? How about the ink cartridge. Was it going to guzzle your money and then burp?
I needed to purchase a new printer for my laptop computer. I thought it was going to be such an easy enterprise. Boy was I in for a shock. I did not want to spend a fortune on a printer. Plus I did not want to buy a printer which cost an arm and leg to replace the ink cartridge.
Since I am a writer I print large documents. I do not print like most people one page here and one page there. I mean I print. I print 200 pages in one sitting. Then I can print another 200 pages.
I needed a printer which was economical to use. I found after talking to sales men in different electronic stores I was pretty much out of luck for an economical printer. The all in one printer is a great printer. For most people it is the ideal printer. It will print, fax, scan and copy in black and white as well as in color. It is exactly what I wanted except the amount of copies it will create is low. Then of course, you will need a new cartridge.
I was told by one electronics salesman to get a black and white laser printer for $400.00 and a cheap all in one for about $150.00. I even saw a cartridge black and white printer which would print about 1500 copies before the cartridge would need to be replaced. The cartridge of course was expensive.
I did find a new printer today at Costco. It is an all in one black and white and color copier, fax and scanner. It was on the expensive side in the electronics stores but was reasonable at Costco. When I found I could have the cartridges refilled I grabbed the printer so fast it is a wonder it did not spin out of my basket.
Just like everything else in this electronic driven world. Everything is so complicated. Unless you take a class in electronics and get a degree. It is almost impossible for the average person to purchase the correct electronic equipment.
Except for teenagers, they seem to be tuned into all the latest electronic mumbo jumbo and understand all of it. They are the future and as far as electronics go they will set the world on their ear.
When you are purchasing new electronic equipment, do not just jump in and think with your emotions. Take a step back and think with your bank account, the amount of space it will take up, and is this really what you need for you.
