With the increase in products being sold this way, it is not surprising that a lot of these products would be books that offer advice regarding how to make money in this way. Quite a few products are available that offer help, techniques and advice for making money through affiliate marketing. A few of these products have sold quite well, while others are merely scams calculated to make money for the authors while providing little of value.
The latest product to hit the scene in the affiliate marketing is a book titled Affiliate Commandments, written by the author of two previous "hits", Day Job Killer and the mysteriously named Affiliate Project X. In this book, the author claims to offer a "million dollar blueprint" that outlines how you can earn affiliate revenue using the very techniques that he has used for success. Does Affiliate Commandments offer genuine value, or is it merely one more overly hyped book?
The author, Chris McNeeney, does have a track record of producing successful product, and his previous two books did provide practical advice along the lines of affiliate marketing. Affiliate Commandments is in the same mold. The most unexpected thing about This book is its length; it is not a particularly long book. On the other hand, there is no filler. Affiliate Commandments represents refined and distilled versions of the techniques that Chris has outlined in earlier books, polished to a high gloss. Although the book runs only a handful of pages, Chris is able to cover a number of topics that are critical for affiliate marketers - Selecting a popular product, building a "stable" of products to promote, and how to see if your advertising techniques are working. He also offers a tweaked version of a famous method that lets you take advantage of the profitable advertising of other marketers in order to use their methods to your advantage. Don't know anything about affiliate marketing? That is not a problem, either, as he includes a copy of a beginner's affiliate marketing guide with the purchase.
The marketing world is loaded with hyperbole, and it can often be a chore to distinguish the good products from the bad ones. Affiliate Commandments is, for the most part, a well-written, concise and best of all, reasonably priced book that should help anyone in the marketing arena earn a few more dollars than they would otherwise.
