Are You Subconsciously Afraid To Become Wealthy?

Many people have conscious or subconscious hang-ups about becoming rich. They have been unwittingly brainwashed by sayings such as "money can't buy happiness" and many other similar sayings. People debate over whether money is good or bad. Well let's take a moment to imagine what life would be like if money was never invented.
Before there was money people used the barter system. If one farmer grew watermelon and another grew oranges they could agree on an amount to swap and then each farmer could enjoy eating both oranges and watermelon. But what if the watermelon farmer wanted to buy a car? He would have to find a car owner who wanted a few thousand watermelons. It's ridiculous. The barter system only works for a very simple economy. Without some form of money we could never have the things we have today.

It is crazy to debate whether money is good or bad. Money is simply a tool that allows a complex economy to function thereby allowing you to reap the benefits. If you want to enjoy the wonderful things that the modern world has to offer then you need to have a good supply of money. As we see from the barter example above, the only reason money was invented was to make our life easier!

Becoming rich opens doors to all manner of opportunities to help us experience the true wonders of this world in the short time that we spend here. It enables us to improve the quality of life for ourselves, our families and others who can benefit from the level of generosity that is only possible from the rich.

Money is not evil. It is simply financial energy. It is not a sin to become wealthy. On the contrary it is a sin to waste this life living a hand to mouth existence when you have the opportunity to become financially free and to use your time and energy to develop the full potential that nature has provided to you, and then to help others do the same.

Wealth is not the enemy, poverty is. Eighty percent of people in the USA and most other first world countries end up financial dependent on the government or family by the age or 65. Enough opportunity exists for each and every person in those countries to become rich and help reduce the burden rather than increase it. To not become rich is the sin. To waste your potential is the sin. You not only have the right to become rich you have a moral duty to do so!

Money was invented to make life easier. If it is not making your life easier then you are doing things wrong. The first step to change is to accept that money is a valid and useful tool and to give yourself permission to acquire it and put it to work for you so that it multiplies.

Try this simple but powerful exercise. Take pen and paper and write down 25 ways in which money can be a valid and useful tool in your life. Then for each one write down why it is perfectly reasonable and honorable for you to acquire the money you need in order to make that use of money a reality in your life. The final step is to read this list to yourself each night before you go to bed and again each morning before you start the day. Do this each day with faith and you will be amazed at how you financial life improves.
