So what defines being a success? Success means many things to different people. For some it means monetary success and independence which might include a fine dwelling, vacations travelling the world, and financial security for them and their family. For some others it can mean admiration, being looked upon as a leader and having countless people looking up to you. It can also mean freedom from the fears and worries that numerous people have in their lives.
Being a success can mean happiness in finding satisfaction from life and getting to the end of your life knowing that you've lived it to the full in an honest and honourable fashion. Not winning against others, winning against yourself and your own individual anxieties and restrictions. In reality everyone would like to be a success in life and to have the best that their life can offer. Nobody enjoys living in poverty and mediocrity.
Some of the most practical success philosophy ever devised have essentially come from biblical material. Everyone has heard the expression 'faith can move a mountain'. This is maybe accurate that with an adequate amount of faith and dedication one may be able to move a mountain where it might take some time, but the idea that with faith and belief you can realize anything you want in your life is fundamentally true, and has been tested time and time again all through history.
If you're sure that you can do something, you have no doubts, and you believe that it will happen so passionately it is almost as if it already has, that reality begins to develop. I have no idea how this works but it actually does. You tend to find yourself in the right place at the right time, speaking to just the kind of person who can help you, or finding yourself in a situation that you would find impossible to envisage, but that can help you slowly toward your desired goals.
Now I'm not one for mumbo-jumbo and giving people fake hope, but this has definitely worked in my life and can work in yours. You just need to teach yourself to think in that way. You can always tell who the positive people are. They walk with their heads held high and with spring and speed in their step. It's apparent that they know where they're going and are not just aimlessly moving through life with no direction. On the other hand you can see the person who has no direction or desire. They usually walk with a slouch, failing to pick up their feet properly off the ground, and mumbling rather than speaking clearly. It's as if the whole weight of the planet is on the shoulders, and to them it feels like it is. What type of person do you want to be?
So start by behaving more positively in your life. At first you might need to lie to yourself. Tell yourself it's a superb day, that things are fantastic, and that you will accomplish your goals. Tell yourself time and time again. Each time you speak these words you are training your mind. Training yourself to the extent that in the future you will come to believe these things. I'm not talking about giving yourself false expectation for the sake of it, but helping you to move away from the unconstructive feelings you have in the direction of a more optimistic outlook.
Each morning tell yourself how lucky you are to be alive, what a brilliant day it is, and how appreciative you are for your health, your family, and all the good things you have in your life. This will prove a great start towards overcoming your anxieties and concerns for the future, and converting yourself into a person who knows that they can succeed. Good Luck.
