When you first started orchestrating your thrilling stag do, surely you didn't think of Budapest. Why would you? Hungary doesn't really have a reputation for being a hotspot, but Budapest has a lot to provide.
The capital of Hungary is a city of over 1.7 million people, sits on the Danube River and is accepted for its thermal lake and baths. In fact, some of the finest times you have in Budapest may well be spent in a bath! Hangover recovery spas, fitness spas, and co-ed thermal baths await you.
Budapest is really like no other European city when it comes to style, nightlife scene, and culture. Capitalise on its interesting selection of East and West by appreciating some spectacular food, sites, and events while taking part in a fair amount of thrills.
During the day, there are no shortage of events to keep you and the boys busy. Take a bus tour to encounter what Budapest is really like, or go canoeing down the Danube to encounter the city from a different perspective. The Hungarian House of Wine is open for tours, or spend the day a little less leisurely by going caving.
If you like to shoot, Budapest is your city. Shoot an AK 47, machine guns, hand guns, or spend an hour going through a bucket of bullets. You can be tutored to fence, or put some money down on Hungary's oldest horse racing track. Play laser events, go cross country quad trekking, cruise around city on a Segway, or attempt go kart or Trabant racing.
And then there are the baths. Try thermal baths for a relaxing afternoon recovering from last night with the guys, or a nice co-ed Bacchanalian splash with the ladies - your choice. Budapest is infamous for its "bath culture," so take advantage of it.
After a relaxing (or not so relaxing) afternoon in Budapest, some spectacular Hungarian nightlife scene awaits you. You cannot leave this city without a wine tasting, and there are plenty to select from. A bottle of wine with some exotic Hungarian food may well leave you with an appetite for some fine Hungarian strippers for dessert.
If you like your ladies a little more exotic, belly dancers can entertain you while you eat, or strippers can join you as you partake in a little pub crawl around the city. Whichever path you take, you're bound to remember Budapest.
