The TOP 3 ways to take your chiropractic marketing online are:
1. Open a Facebook personal account. Make your personal page interesting; put up pictures, invite your friends, put your info for your business etc. Facebook has rules though and you must now open a business page for your office. Facebook only allows 5000 friends on personal pages and wants them to be personal pages. The business page is unlimited "fans" so that is what you want to spend time getting, people to be a fan of. Then update your personal and business pages regularly. Don't be a spammer by just sending out promo about your office. That is poor online etiquette. You need to provide value, post free health tips. Find things that you are passionate about in your field and let everyone know. Your goal is to get as many local people to be your fan as possible, add value by helping them and you will see that because of this they will come into your office.
2. Open a twitter account. You can link your twitter account to your Facebook personal account therefore you can get 2x the exposure. The same applies here get as many "local" followers as possible. Provide value.
3. Get a professional website. There are many companies to choose from. Many websites are virtual brochures. This is not a good thing. You want a site that, when you drive people to it via your facebook and twitter, will work it so that they then become a new patient of yours. In order to become a new patient they have to either give you their contact info so you can call them or they need to contact you directly. There are many ways to track the success of your site. If the person you are interviewing to hire to build your site doesn't offer this BE CAREFUL. If they want you to sign a long term contract BE CAREFUL. Marketing is about getting new patients and nothing else in the end. Not monitoring the results or requiring a long term contract are their ways to avoid the fact that they can't deliver results. Remember amateur hour shows in lack of results, get a professional and get REAL results. Marketing doesn't cost you, it pays!
