Come See Hawaii and the Scenic House of the Sun.
Does sitting out in the Maui sun sound good for your vacation? This is one of Hawaii's island formations - in fact, separated into a pair of islands - East and West maui. A 10,000 ft. wide volcano named Haleakala (or House of the Sun) is East Maui's main attraction. The volcano remains an ominous physical structure on the island since it isn't dead, it is only inactive. The last time it erupted was in 1790. There is an amazing and breath-taking view from the volcano's peak.
Visiting East Maui will show you the lush tropical mass of plants that grow here and are rivaled by the breathtaking waterfalls. The village of Hana is located on the island's tip and is preferred by those who are feeling adventurous. Coiling along the North Shore on Hana Highway you will see the coastline which is impassable.
The sole means of observing the North Shore's beautiful scenery is from a helicopter. As you make your way along the northern shore, visible from your eagle's eye view are the dramatic sea cliffs, isolated beaches, and more amazing waterfalls than you could dream of. The helicopter journey that will bring you to observe the sights will be a memorable component of your trip.
The west maui mountains is Maui's oldest volcano. These mountains are what remains of a volcano that once was huge. From the volcano's mountains, rain has carved valleys and ridges that encircle the western part of the island. Known as "The Valley Isle" due to it's mountains, West Maui gets around 500 inches of rain per year. The end result of the large amounts of precipitation are of course, these waterfalls. Because it is inaccessible the area has remained untouched and it is truly one of the most spectacular areas you will ever see in your lifetime.
Molokai is only 9 miles from Maui and this would be another fine destination for your trip. Molokai culture is very different. The beauty and atosphere are what make this 'one of the best kept secrets in Hawaii'. Your helicopter tour should also take in the highly seclusive northeastern coast.
From the beaches below, the sea cliffs rise more than one thousand feet toward the sky, and are some of the tallest in the world. This is an area that no man can get into on foot or any other way. Nothing beats seeing the view while in a helicopter. This area has never been seen by most Molokai residents. A visual spectacle, you certainly cannot miss this area of Hawaii. Areas such as Easy Maui, Hana, West Maui, and Molokai are surely worth your time and effort so that you can see what the true Hawaii really looks like.
