If only you could watch the game in the car! Well, the good news is that now you can - as long as you're not the driver.
KVH Industries, a Rhode Island-based company, has created TracVision, a satellite television system for passenger vehicles that works while the vehicle is moving.
One person who takes full advantage of this technology is football commentator John Madden, who travels throughout the country aboard his Madden Cruiser, a 45-foot motor coach equipped with a kitchen, lounge, master bath, sauna, queen size bed and granite floors.
But it's the state-of-the-art technology inside - three plasma television screens; a surround sound system; and satellite television, telephone and high-speed Internet systems from KVH Industries - that truly keeps Madden cruising in style.
Madden, who hasn't flown on a plane since 1979, prefers to travel by bus and has been doing so for the past 18 years. Today, Madden is on his fourth Cruiser and he says having satellite television, phone and Internet has added a new dimension to his travels.
Now, he is able to read newspapers online and catch all the football games en route while preparing for the Monday Night Football broadcast. It's a far cry from the old days when the Madden Cruiser would have to stop so that the satellite antenna could be set up to receive games.
