It's certainly much harder to lose weight than put it on. Because of expectations, weather it be in the media or with communities, people are feel the need to lose weight. Health reasons like more energy, feeling fitter should be one of the top reasons for losing weight, more than trying to conform to societies image of the perfect form.
Because people who are overweight are a higher risk of medical problems like heart trouble, diabetes amongst many other things.
So as you can see it would be of more benefit to lose weight for the health benefits than for any other reason.
The best way to lose weight is to go on a healthy diet and to exercise on a regular basis. Again, this is easier said than done. Fasting and food deprivation are not good weight loss solutions. Not eating anything or just eating only particular foods might succeed in making you lose weight but only for the short term. The more permanent result to doing these could be damaging to your bodily functions. Make sure that you revisit your food pyramid and get a healthy dose of every food group in your daily diet.
You should take it easy with carbohydrates and sugars that maybe bad for you. Supermarkets contain plenty of foods that are healthy like good carbohydrates, protein and other nutrients rich foods. So there is no call for you to consume the poor tasting pre-cooked meals that are stocked in health food stores.
It's worth remembering that food is a lot healthier the more closer to it's original ingredients. It's far better to eat a tasty fresh salad than vegetable that have been overcooked. It is very much better to eat five to six smaller and healthier meals more often, than to eat three larger meals. Eating healthier will leave you leave you feeling far better.
