More and more options are available for the serious student. One of them is definitively online learning. Gone are the time when you had to spend a large amount of money to receive your degree from a well known college. These days if you want you can get your degree online! I wish I had that luck when I was in college. But many years ago there was only one way to get your college education. Now the internet has changed quite a few things. If by any chance you browse a school's website and the furthest you could get is to fill out a contact form, you could as well keep looking at some other schools. This is one of the first red flags that the school is a degree mill.
Be wary of pushy salesmanship type behavior, When you are contacted by an online school's representative. I've run into too many individuals that were coerced into submitting scandalous pre-enrollment or other types of so-called deposits to secure a place in classes. No respectable college is going to make you feel like there's a rush to send them money. If you feel rushed to send in vaguely labeled funds, hang up and search for other schools.
There are quite a few reputable online colleges, but the best ones are still online classes offered by traditional educational institutions. If you're going to enroll in a completely online school to get an online degree, do your homework. Search for discussion forums and discover what other people have experienced with particular online degree institutions, as well as online learning in general.
