End of year strategies to Lower your costs for Health care Policies

Tips and Strategies to cope with the rising cost of Individual health care insurance

Individual health insurance costs more and more each year. This month I was shocked to find that the health insurance companies I work with increased their pricing by as much as 20%. At this rate, in about 3 years insurance rates will double. This causes a lot of people a lot of financial pain. A lot of them simply cannot afford these ridiculous rates. These high prices particularly in a financial environment where many are concerned that we are already in a recession, makes quality medical care out of the reach to far too many of of us.
If you're worried and trying to pick which child will have to go without out food so that you can afford these rates. The tips below may help you reduce your costs for health care and health insurance.

Excise no longer desired Extras

First, do you have optional insurance riders that you no longer need?
Maternity insurance is probably most expensive optional benefit. If you no longer want this coverage, be sure to tell your agent and you may bring the cost of health insurance down to a more reasonable level.
Medicine coverage may be the kind of things that cost more than they are worth. Give serious thought dropping any of these optional coverages.

Look at HSA Plans

Secondly, give some thought to buying a Health Savings Account plan to lower your monthly costs. These health care insurance plans are frequently so much lower that the amount of money you save can pay your yearly deductible.

Shop Around

Third, compare prices and benefits offered by other companies. Be sure to work with a reputable insurance carrier that is recognized by your state's insurance department.
With the rising cost of health coverage having a plan can be very important.
