How To Get The Most Out Of A European Vacation

1. Tower of London

Yes, the crown jewels are located within the tower, in case you are wondering. Members of the royal family were imprisoned and executed here. Stories abound of headless ghosts floating about. There's nothing more exciting than treading where the famous have walked and picturing what it must have been like. I highly recommend visiting the tower of London, you're trip to Europe would not be complete with out it.

2. The Louvre

Undeniably one of the best museums of art in the world. Contains such masterpieces as the mona lisa and the venus de milo. Contains other countless and priceless pieces from every European culture. If you're interested in art and enjoy museums, than you won't want to miss this one! Plus, there's nothing more impressive than telling friends and family that you went to The Louvre and saw the real mona lisa.

3. Eiffel Tower

First constructed in 1889 by the same person that made the statue of liberty, the Eiffel Tower stands at 317 meters and was the tallest building in the world at the time of its opening. It has several observation platforms and offers a breathtaking view of the city. It is also one of the most romantic symbols of all time. So men, if you're trying to impress the ladies, make sure that the Eiffel Tower is a stop on your European destination.

4. Tivoli Gardens

Located in Denmark, Copenhagen, these gardens are one of the worlds first amusement parks. If you visit at night you will be treated to a beautiful array of city lights. Nearby you can find Legoland, one of the best locations to go for those with kids, or those who are still a kid at heart.

5. The Sistine Chapel

Michelangelo's finest work. Comissioned by Pope Julius II in 1508, it stands today as one of the best artistic achievements of the world. The elaborate illustration features scenes of importance from the whole bible.

There are many more amazing sites to see throughout Europe, but I hope this gives you a few ideas of what not to miss.
