How Young Do You Want To Be?

Since ancient times, humans have been concerned with developing and preserving youthful vigor and vitality. We desire to look and feel younger as we age but can we really do anything about it other than facelifts, injections and pills? Has our modern world finally made any progress towards finding the long sought after elixir of youth?

Today, there is enough understanding of the aging process to be able to delay it for years or even decades. All of us know the health benefits of being physically active. Proper exercise helps maintain body weight, reduces stress, keeps you strong and fit and helps you stay disease free. Now, researchers say that exercise, specifically strength training exercise keeps you young and is the best anti-aging formula known to mankind.

To attain the youthful appearance and energetic condition there is a simple natural formula that does not cost of lot of money. But it does cost a little bit of effort, something that many of us have almost forgotten how to do.

It is no secret that physical fitness helps you look young and be healthy. It keeps your body in firm, lean shape and provides you with the energy, stamina and endurance you need to pursue all your interests. It can prolong your life, and perhaps most importantly, can improve the quality of your life.

By performing strength training exercise it is possible not only to replace muscle tissue that has been lost but to stimulate muscle tissue which has never previously been developed. This muscle tissue, when toned sits under previously loose, sagging skin and creates a tight, toned, shapely body. There is nothing more aging than slumping posture but with your strength training program your posture improves and you feel strong and confident.

Improved strength also helps you lead a physically active lifestyle with more energy and less risk of injury which helps in all parts of your life. You will be able to carry kids, golf clubs, and groceries with ease and without back strain, climb stairs without huffing and puffing, and pull your suitcases out of the car without wrenching your shoulder. And you will feel strong and powerful as opposed to becoming weaker and feebler.

Your toned muscle tissue is also the cheapest and most effective beauty aid available to improve your looks. We can get surgical face lifts; collagen injections, liposuction and implants, but not one plastic surgeon in the world can create all over, naturally built, youthful, vital looking muscle tissue.

Our bodies were designed to respond to physically demanding situations and need this to stay healthy. Living a no exercise lifestyle is not going to help you stay youthful in any way. When you add strength building physical activity back into your life you are dipping into the Fountain of Youth.

Mentally, we have much to gain from proper exercise. It reduces depression and anxiety and helps us manage stress and frustration. The right exercise program will improve feelings of physical well being and self-confidence and improves work and leisure performance.

You can become slim and trim, reduce the risk of chronic disease, relieve fatigue and anxiety, minimize pain, sleep better, have more energy and regain the youthful enthusiasm and zest for life you need to live your life to the fullest. And as the Fountain of Youth promised, you will not only feel younger you will also look younger too.
