You can ask your boss or close friends or relatives who play the sport what they like to use when they golf. They will probably be able to tell you which brands are better than others. By asking more than one person you can get a better idea of what to look for when you go shopping.

The Internet offers you a huge selection of information to choose from. Magazines may have a list of what was the best seller for the previous year. Also remember that no matter how great your equipment is you still need to know what you are doing on the golf course. You can't expect to go out on the course and be great your first time, it takes practice and a basic knowledge about the sport.
