My friend thought I had lost my mind when I decided to start researching how inventions get patented. My friend have always seen me as a little crazy, and I think they have a decent claim. It seems I am drawn to the weird and wonderful. Part of it is fun and part of it is a good mind at work. Even though it could be a crazy idea, I like thinking that I am the first person to come up with it. As I started to deal with the information required by the invention patent process most people considered it weird.
Just because I wouldn't discuss it, it didn't keep my friends from offering their opinions. I was never really concerned that they would take my invention patents. It's not that I don't have confidence in my friends; I just don't like to talk about project while I'm in the midst of them. Once I get to talking, I usually don't manage to finish my project. What I thought would happen was that once I had filed for my invention patents, I'd be talking their ears of about it until they wished I had never mentioned it. Meanwhile, however, I wanted to be quiet.
Inventions are much harder to patent that you might think. As you can see, obtaining an invention patent requires numerous steps. To begin the process, you search to make sure that no one else has already come up with an item similar to yours. Subsequently, it is more difficult Invention patents are easy if you're trained in drafting. I found it to be nearly overwhelming. You need to be very detailed in how your invention works, in order to do this you are going to need alot of charts and graphs. Surely a lot of inventors patents are not filed each year for the reason that it is a lot of work to do.
I'm almost positive that patenting inventions is a worthwhile endeavor in the end. I don't just envision getting rich from my invention; however that is a portion of my dream. I want my invention to make life easier and more enjoyable for someone. This, more than anything, is the driving force behind great inventors. Patents have a history containing geniuses with an unnatural drive to try and "invent" a better future.
