Resveratrol was added to the diet of yeast, fruit flies, worms and a species of fish and amazing results were obtained as it increased the life span of all of them by 70%, 29%, 24% and 50% respectively. These results shocked doctors’ world wide and forced them to conduct more experiments on resveratrol. In obese mice fat related deaths were reduced by 31% by the use of resveratrol. The obese mice that were fed resveratrol acted more swiftly in movement than the obese mice which were not given resveratrol. The mice which were fed resveratrol had full endurance that is 100% than those which were not fed resveratrol. The main cause of heart attack and strokes is blood platelets aggregation which is very dangerous for the body; resveratrol prevents the blood platelets from aggregation. The cell damage caused by radicals can be prevented from the use resveratrol. Still no significant results have been found on humans but researchers are doing their best.
