I am not a fan of Russia, but I do enjoy to travel to Russia every few years or so. I like to observe its fascinating history and rich culture. I like to observe how this country is getting up from its knees from bullying by the west. One of the most inconvenient things about my previous trips was getting purchasing a train ticket from Moscow to St Petersburg. I have recently came across a great new way to get tickets on Russian trains and want to share it with you.
One of the best ways to travel from Moscow to St Petersburg is via train. An intricate rail network connects hundreds of towns allowing a traveler to reach some of the most distant places places. Russian train travel is not just easy but also cheap. You can reach most of destinations with an overnight train and you can purchase Russian train tickets online.
Until this summer, this not available. Until recently, you could only buy tickets on Russian trains on a train station or at a travel agency, which made the tickets more expensive and required a paper ticket to be delivered by mail. Finally, this is no longer the case and you can now book Russian train tickets online, easily and safely using your credit card. I personally found this terrific resource very handy. It allows you getting a train ticket on any train in Russia online.
Couple years ago, I went to Moscow and then a couple of days in Vladivostok. That time I had to spend long time wasting my time in a line on a train station. For my return tickets Vladivostok I used a help of tourist agency and had to pay fifty dollars on top of the ticket's price for paper ticket. When I visited Russia, travelled to Russia this August I found this website in the internet that allows you to purchase. That was such a good news. I actually purchased a train ticket and I cannot emphasize how convenient it has been. I showed up at the train station with e-ticket, got my boarding pass and got on the train. No lines, no hassles, no extra fees. Brilliant.
I have been across the globe and one of the best trips that I experienced was a trip to Moscow and St Petersburg. Both of these great cities seem to have a very special soul - one that cannot be found anywhere else. I have a lot for people who live in Moscow or St Petersburg as they have so much a stone's throw away.
However, I don't regret paying couple thousand dollars to see Russia. To me, being on a Russian train that carries you from across Russia is so much more than going to Mexico for a vacation. In fact, my journey of a lifetime was when I went to Russia when I and my wife traveled on a Russian train. I recommend a vacation in Russia. It's like no other.
