In the main these unfortunate people haven’t taken the trouble to read any starting a business book or gone through at least a basic business training course of some form.
With a fairly constant international statistical failure rate of around 90% for first year newbies, you would think something would filter down to potential business starters so this figure perhaps reduced itself eventually.
Remembering back to my own start into the world of self employment just after the last ice age, I was the absolute perfect specimen to fail. Mid twenties, entering a business I knew little about, no business knowledge and no money, but with tons of enthusiasm; But I grafted for over 100 hours a week for 6 years and starved myself, so managed to make it to the top. My own version of top anyway.
The point is, now there is the internet there is certainly no reason whatsoever to go without professional and experienced guidance to start your own business, whereas in my time help was one of the impossibles without a formal school course.
In all honesty, if you have a need to launch a business yet don’t avail yourself of a decent business guide, you really deserve to knock yourself out, kill all relationships, get ulcers and eat badly. However, with a tiny, tiny investment you can actually rent all the knowledge and experience gained by years of working out what was going on and why.
Anyway, I believe with the right Business Training Course the statistics could fall to around maybe 20%, just to allow for an odd interpretation or two. A decent business guide isn’t so expensive and if the author has genuine experience you should find their guide replete with unique management tools and data sheets on specific matters that can only increase your business effectiveness, your business security, protection for your own assets, greater market share and more profits.
Before you jump in on just my advice though, do nose about some of the various other sites that abound but remember a few things.
You are not looking for a pretty or wonderful website but are looking for the product that will help you most to effectively and safely launch your own business.
Via the index if it can be found, you need to uncover what the authors background is, what experience they have, what tools they provide and how they will help and support you.
I mention the beginning information as there is one distinct phase required to start a business and another to launch and run a business of your own. Further materials should also be available to teach you through real examples how to benchmark, develop, refine and grow your market share and commercial interests.
Don’t think for one minute that 2009 is not a good time to launch a business, because I can assure you it actually is. Your disadvantage will be in the amount of time you hesitate before learning the path forward to start and run your own business, just in case your employer finds they need to reduce numbers. At least you will be prepared and able to look after your own family without being placed in a position where haste enters your decision.
