The Best Time for Traveling is Today

You probably think I'm out of my mind for saying this when the world is suffering from an economic meltdown, when people's incomes are hitting rock bottom, and prices are soaring straight through the roof. But it's true:

"NOW is the Best Time to Travel"

There are a number of reasons for saying this.. Let's begin with one: a philosophical reason.

Have you ever heard people talk about the good old days? The fact of the matter is there never were "good old" days. Back in those good old days that old people talk about their grandparents would talk about the "better, older days."

The point is, if we think about it, there were always things that were better once. It would be wonderful to bring some of those things back, but don't count on it.

So what's this got to do with travel. Well, there have been better times for travel. A lot of the things I write about, you just can't do them anymore because conditions have changed. I suspect conditions will keep on changing, and not entirely for the better.

So, there may be better times ahead for traveling - and I hope there will be. Don't wait for them. Based on historical trends, the best time for traveling is now.
