The Need for 3D Glasses, will 3D HDTV Replace?

TV technology of the future, there is an even more advanced type of technology on the horizon that could eclipse it! This technology is 3D HDTV.
It has a picture resolution that's similar to the resolution of an HDTV set, but it's also capable of producing images that appear in three dimensions. Viewers get the impression that they are surrounded by images with these devices. One reviewer who experienced a demonstration with a prototype of this kind of HDTV set described butterflies and flower petals flying out from the screen towards him for a very realistic effect, for example.
3D video technology isn't really anything new,of course. Although handicapped by the fact that the three dimensional illusion could only be viewed through special 3D glasses with polarized lenses, 3D movies enjoyed a reign of popularity decades ago. Based on is different is the technology that 3D HDTV. No 3D Glasses Needed Actually displays different images at different angles,a 3D HDTV screen. images will enter each of the viewer's eyes and provide the illusion of depth.
For a more realistic 3-D effect, a TV should display several different angles of an image.
Naturally 3D HDTV technology is not without its problems. For one thing, creating a TV screen that can display several different angles of the same image at once- while projecting them in different directions- is quite a feat. more distinct angles of the image that the TV can display, the more realistic the effect is. This is particularly true when people are moving in front of the screen. The more likely the image is to appear choppy to someone passing in front of the TV screen, the fewer distinct angles that the image is displayed in. With only a couple of different angles, the viewer is less likely to catch them while moving and looking at the screen.
Fortunately the latest models of these sets are able to display their images in enough angles to provide a pretty realistic effect under a variety of conditions. The use of 3D HDTV's as a means of attracting consumers' attentions in public makes this particularly valuable.
3D HDTV displays, they're extremely expensive at a cost of over twenty thousand dollars to produce! The price may seem high, but as early adopters relate their enthusiasm to others, there will be increased demand, driving down the price to a more affordable level within a few years.
But then, the large hindrance will be trying to fill the sets with content. There is already progress being made on this front, while it may be somewhat surprising. Both Steven Spielberg and James Cameron are working on 3D movies. These will use 3D Glasses Software is currently under development that could convert 2-D HDTV into 3-D!
This new and upcoming technology could render HDTV obsolete just as it begins?
