Lipstick can be used to make you look more sexy and attractive to other people. However it is important to get the right colour. If you get it wrong it can completely overpower your face or make you look washed out. The aim of this article is to give you some advice and tips on selecting the right lipstick colour for you. It is important to use a colour that complements your natural lip colour and skin tone. If your natural skin colour is dark then you will find that plums, wine colour and deep reds will suit you really well. The main reason for that is that you will not be overpowered by these strong colours. If you have light or pale skin then you will probably find that the best colours for you are light browns or beiges with either a pink or orange undertone. It is important to stick to these softer colours otherwise you will find the colours are too strong for you. The best colours for those people with olive coloured skin are reds that are slightly brownish, light browns and possibly raisin colours. It is important to remember that you will need to wear s different colour in the daytime compared to the evening. In the day go for lighter more natural colours. You will probably find that using a lipstick with a creamy matte finish will be more subtle. In the evening you can go for those darker or brighter colours and a gloss finish will really make that sexy evening look. In order to get the colour that is right for you, experiment. There are lots of ways to do this but a great way is to go to the makeup department of a big shop. You can then talk to an expert there and get some advice on the colour they think is best. Then try out a few to decide which one you prefer. If possible pop outside after you select one and make sure it works in natural light as well. You can also experiment by mixing colours to get one that works right for you. Again you can do this in a department store and the expert will help you to select colours that will mix well for you. Don’t be afraid to ask and get as much advice as possible. However remember, don’t just follow their advice blindly, make sure you pick a colour that you like. Don’t forget to get a lip liner to go with your lipstick. This should be about one shade darker than your lipstick colour. Remember it should be in the same family of colours as your lipstick. When you apply everything, do the lipstick first and then apply the lip liner over the top. This will prevent you from being left with a line round your lips when your lipstick wears off. The most important thing when selecting your lip colour is that you feel comfortable with what you are wearing. When you wear something you really like it increases your confidence and this then makes you more attractive to other people around you. After all real beauty comes from within and so does the ability to appear sexy. Lipstick is only a tool to enhance what you already have inside you.
