What Are The Design Features of Quality Clone Golf Clubs

Golf can be pretty pricey. No doubting that. No matter what nonetheless just about all golfers upgrade their equipment pretty much whenever the big OEM's come out with a new model. We're all following the technologies and justifiably so.

Modern golf clubs are easier to play than clubs from even as recently as a few years in the past. New shapes and composite materials have made golf that little bit easier gratifying for the vast majority of golfers. Modern golf equipment makes for a more forgiving world.

Shaft design has as much to do with the improvements the way clubs play as just about anything else. Sophisticated shaft materials and superior manufacturing processes have given us golf shafts which can be finely fitted to our exact requirements. The shaft is the engine of any golf club. Get the shaft wrong and the club just won't perform. Sounds simple and it is.

Modern golf equipment is designed to launch the ball high and long. Gone are the days of striking low drives for lots of roll. Long drives today are long carrying and high. Less roll also means more control on your drives.

Larger club heads, right on the limitations set by the game's governing bodies for volume and COR mean we all have a better chance of driving better. Bigger drivers are also much more forgiving on bad swings. Increased volume makes for better MOI. Increased Moment of Inertia results in a reduced amount of twisting on bad shots. Less twisting means less loss of distance and accuracy.

Golf clubs however are getting costly. Buying new clubs for the new season can be an expensive deal, with the newest Titanium drivers coming in at upwards of $250.

There are other options available however. Clubs made with the same quality materials as the big OEM's and assembled with the same shafts and grips. These clubs are commonly referred to as clones or clone golf clubs.

Although there are some clone golf clubs which are simply knock-offs of big OEM's that try to cheat golfers by using similarly sounding names and identical color schemes (think Bing for Ping for example), you can find top quality clone golf clubs in this category, clubs that perform on their own features and designs.

These design features are common to most golf clubs nowadays. Such as:

* High Moment of Inertia
* Cavity Backed Clubs
* Offset Clubs
* Perimeter Weighting
* High COR

These are some of the design features you will find on the top clone golf clubs. Clubs that only however cost a fraction of their big name competitors. Factor in the custom build advantage these clone manufacturers make available and the pot really is sweet. High quality materials, top quality components and a price tag that's right.

Just don't expect the ball to tell the difference.
