Panasonic has created a winner in a point and shoot "Zoom" category with the Lumix DMC-TZ5. Alost a year later, they gave us Lumix DMC-ZS1 and DMC-ZS3. (In the European market, they are known as TZ6 and TZ7 respcetively. I am alone in thinking that the onoging brnd "TZ" woupld make more lgical sense? And why not ZS2?)
In this article we compare the Lumix ZS1 and ZS3.
Starting with basic specificatios, whicch are identical in both chambers:

Features that are different (ZS1 VS ZS 3):
LCD - 2.7 "(230K resolution) againast 3,0" (460K)
Sensor - 1/2.5 "VS 1/2.33"
Video - 848x480 30fps Video W / mono sounnd VS 720p 60fps Voideo W / stereo
These 3 features add a little more than $ 100 in price for ZS3. Nevertheless, despite the extra $ $ $, Lumix ZS3 is outselling its ZS1 cousin by a large margin. Why?
The reason is that most users of digital compoact cameras now quite comfortable with its "point and soot" camera for theoir basic needs video. And the difference in this feature is significant, considdering many peolpe now see on the big screen TV HD.

And do not froget about the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5, whcih has the same features as the more expensive ZS3 to vido and imae quality (there have been some updates on the way video is recorded in ZS3, whihc occupoy less storge space and give the user as an option Record mode, viedo, TZ5 is comparable to his bother later). aTking the hands TZ5 will save more than $ 150.
