Blogs are becoming very popular. The rate at which the numbers are increasing is mind-boggling. Why is this happening? Why every body wants to create a blog? Who else will read that blog? If everyone is busy writing his/her blog why and when will they get time to search for other blogs and read them? Because of this over population and density, will blogging become another failure? Is it a fad, which will pass away? Let us examine?
Why do people blog? Most of the people write blogs to express themselves. They are sure that on their blog they will get what they want printed. If they write articles or columns for newspapers they may or may not get printed. Writing a blog gives the power to each of us to get printed immediately. I personally write my blog to express myself freely and feel good to see that what I wrote got printed immediately. - How to Start Your Own Blog By : Roberto Bell
No website has the power of a blog when it comes to getting high page ranks and high search engine ranks. Blogging software automatically pings dozens of search engines everytime there is a new post. Automated Google site map plugins also rebuild the sitemap and ping Google each time there is a new post, page or comment. With the power these automated tools, no one should be running a regular web site again. We recommend you convert all of your existing websites to blogs before your competition does. Below are 2 methods for creating your own blog. - Anonymity On The Internet By : Roberto Bell
In this age of the internet, almost everyday we spend time surfing the internet in whatever way. Most of us do this, oblivious to the fact that we are sending lots of information to the world by doing this. When we visit websites, those websites can pick up our ip-adress. With this ip-adress, those who mean harm, can access a bunch of information about us, including where we live. - The World Of Blogging By : Blueboy
Do you have your own blog? Have you cottoned on to the benefits that having your own blog can bring? In this article I am going to write about the crazy world of blogging and about the ways in which it can help an online business to attract continued and repeat traffic. This traffic of course is what most webmasters strive for and a good blog which is well optimised can help them to attain their goals.
Blogging is not exactly a new concept, it has been around for a couple of years now. I must admit I was a bit slow to join the bandwagon of blogging. I thought it would be one of those overnight crazes but it looks like it is here to stay. I have read many of these blogs and in my opinion most of them are quite poor in quality. They did not really inspire me to come back and were seemingly only there to make money from programs such as google adsense. There were however certain blogs which did inspire me to return, blogs such as the one Matt Cutts runs. This is a blog that I will read whenever I have the time. - Tales From the Blogosphere By : Matthew C. Keegan
I entered the blogosphere fairly late in the game. More than three years after starting and managing several busy forums and web sites, I dabbled with blogging through regular entries to one of my aviation web sites. Within weeks I got tired of the discipline – not of writing – but of ftp’ing everything to the web. I gave up as I decided blogging wasn’t for me.
Fortunately, I didn’t stay away as I saw a challenge, and an opportunity, in front of me. Having blogged on other people’s sites, I felt that if I could blog there, I could blog anywhere, including on my own blogs. Taking a look at my options, I decided to download WordPress and I now run two blogs from two separate web sites. - Blogging With Word Press By : Matthew C. Keegan
I only entered the blogosphere in late 2005 after realizing that I was missing out on an important part of the whole “online communication” genre. As I had been busy managing forums, web sites, and writing articles, I soon realized that I could firm up my two niches – aviation and article writing – by blogging on these topics regularly. With that in mind, I soon launched a pair of blogs and I am very happy with my decision. I selected Word Press as I believe that they offer one of the best blogging communities out there. Are you a blogger? If not, why not?
My decision to go with Word Press and not with one of the other big blogging entities such as Blogger, had everything to do with my having complete control over the site. Since I host with Powweb, I discovered that my web hosting company offers over thirty different software downloads for its members. Word Press and a few other blogging entities are represented, but I selected Word Press due to the recommendation of a friend. - Blog Biz By : Michelle Bery -

For many of us, blogging is a very natural way of relieving stress. Frequent entries can be the best therapy for the mind, soul and, why not, for the body. As you can see, there are many other reasons that are different from fame and fortune that make people blog. The “blogging revolution”… how many times have you heard that? I’d call it the “blogging invasion”. It seems that any one, no matter how novice to the Internet, can master a blog: there’s no need to know HTML and it’s free. These are the first “pros”. But are they really “pros”?
Let’s see: if any one can master a blog, it means any one can have a blog and write whatever he or she has in mind: a dream, a recipe, a funny story about a cat, a poem, a diary, a sleazy comment about another person, porn, hateful remarks and more. Hey, it’s a free world! But, because there are so many bloggers out there, it’s rather difficult to find quality blogs. - You Can Make Money With Your Blog By : Adam J. Heist

Operating a blog is as easy as joining Blogger and starting to write. As soon as you join Blogger, Google will invite you to join their ad display network called AdSense. Once you apply and are approved, you can run ads on your blog. You will only get paid for each time people click on your ads but you can earn anywhere from five cents to over one dollar for just one click. Don’t click on the ads yourself or encourage people to do the same, as this is stealing and Google knows when you click. You don’t want to lose a steady stream of income which can easily top $50, $100 or more per month. - How To Decide Between Free Web Hosting And Paid Web Hosting For Your Blog By : Gregg Hall

Too often bloggers complain that after a great start, a year later their blog is as dead as can be. Online journals, better known as blogs, are becoming more and more popular. When the Internet was first getting started, users rushed to build personal web sites. Web sites are still very popular among web users, but many are now turning to blogs. What's the difference? This article will examine the main similarities and differences between a Weblog and a website. - How To Build A Successful Blog By : Gregg Hall
If you want to build a successful blog, there are three main things that can certainly help you get started. Although many people think that building a successful blog is one of the easiest tasks out there, they are wrong. A successful blog takes more than just setting up a blog page to chat about your life. You need to focus on these three building blocks in order to even have the framework for a successful blog. Even these three building blocks are not enough however to make your blog successful. Read on to learn exactly what you need to make your blog as successful as possible.
The Look
The first building block for a successful blog is The Look. What this means is that your blog should start with an appropriate style. You can begin when you first start your blog. Many blogging software programs will help you out with the style of your blog. If you are using a blogging program that caters most to beginners, you will see that it will offer different templates for you to choose. There will be something for everyone. You can go through the templates to choose which colors you like best for the layout. Experiment with the layouts to see which templates look best on the computer screen. You can always go back and change the template later if you want to change the look of your blog. Make sure that if you are creating your own blog, without using a pre-created template that you make it look as professional as possible. You can even hire a professional to do the job for you if you wish. The more professional your blog looks, the more seriously your readers will take your posts.
The Content
The content of your blog is the second key building block you will need for a successful blog. While you can choose to create posts that have no direction or purpose, you will find that when you post interesting commentary or short information filled articles that your traffic will increase. Although you may think it is interesting, most readers will not enjoy reading about your day to day activities, unless you make them into humorous stories.
It should also be noted that the more content you have on your site, the more successful your site will be. It is basically a numbers game at this point. The more you post, the more chances you will have the one of your posts will attract the eye of someone searching for a related topic.
The Ads
The third building block is advertising. Bloggers can make a steady income using advertising on their blogs. The trick is to have a good mixture of ads and content however. If you fill your blog with ads and have no content for readers, they will be distracted and not visit your site again. A good rule to remember is that you should never have more than two or three ads per blog page. This is an important rule to remember. You should not overwhelm you readers with ads. You should only present them so that the readers can further explore them if they wish. Don't use flashing ads or other bold ads that will annoy your readers. Choosing the right type of advertising program is part of it as well. Look into an easy to use program such as Google Adsense if you want a quick way to get started in the advertising arena.
The Dedication
The most important building block of a great blog is dedication. You must be willing to be dedicated to the blog. You have to put in the time and energy to get positive results. Even if you have the other three components, unless you take the time to update your posts each day, you will not be getting optimum results. Dedication can help a lot. It can hide the fact that you are a beginner and allow you to create a beautiful and functional blog. No matter how little experienced you are dedication can cover that up. You can have a great blog as long as you take the time to give some of your energy to the project. - How To Find Winning Ideas for your Blog Topics By : Gregg Hall
