- A Collection Of Great Art Projects By : Morgan Hamilton
People use often use art to express themselves. This need for self expression may be the trait that separates us from other animals. We usually encounter art projects from elementary school. We learn about shape, texture and color in this period. Our parents would proudly put the fruits of our efforts on the wall or go into our school to see our achievements. These creations help to develop our imagination and build our confidence when we were young. We also learn about the world around us through art in our childhood. We can also learn the value of working in a team through working together on these projects.
The sad thing is that we often leave art behind as we get older. We become the audience for the professional artists, instead of becoming artist ourselves. Art projects are usually done as public art. However, controversy often emerge when art is installed in public spaces. This is because tastes vary so much and some people resent art projects that have been funded with public money. - Tips For Buying Fine Art Posters By : Morgan Hamilton
To be honest, I'm not an expert when it comes to interior design or home decorating. When you visit my home, you will see that I don't have the most expensive furniture, my fabrics and colors aren't coordinated, and I don't make the best use of space. You can be sure that you won't be seeing any pictures of my place in a "Better Homes & Garden" photo shoot in the future.
However, the case is different when it comes to my walls. In my opinion, there's nothing more depressing than a home with bare walls. As a result, I go out of my way to make sure that mine are covered with interesting things to look at. Some of my favorite wall hangings are the framed fine art posters that I've purchased over the years. - Putting A Frame Around The Art Institute By : Morgan Hamilton
I think that it’s really too bad that we can’t look into the future and see our mistakes before we commit them. Of course, it is possible that some of us wouldn’t change anything because a person may end up on an even better path than where he started out, even when things go wrong.
However, we only have one chance at this life we live, and we can’t always make the best decisions as we go through life. In my opinion, going to the Art Institute for my education was one of the best and worst things I ever did. - The Wonderous Works Of Ansel Adams By : Morgan Hamilton
Are you familiar with Ansel Adams? He is a legendary figure in the world of photography and the consummate photographer of wilderness areas. He was born in 1902, and he spent his childhood steeped in the natural beauty of the area where he grew up. It was there that his photographic vision was born. Ansel Adams first visited Yosemite at the age of 14 and this experience defined his lifelong vocation. He took a custodial job at the Sierra Club Lodge in Yosemite Park when he was 17 because he wanted to live and work in the visual treasure chest of nature that he loved so much.
He is a lover of capturing the tiny details of nature to perfection at heart, but he is best known for his majestic sweeping views of Yosemite National Park. Ansel Adams was especially gifted in the art of bringing the moment of a just-blooming flower or a leaf floating on still water to life. He captured the attention and appreciation of hundreds of thousands of Americans through the beauty of the wilderness long before environmental awareness became a coined phrase. - The Beauty Of Black And White Photography By : Morgan Hamilton
One of the many features found on modern digital cameras is the ability to allow the owner to try black and white photography. Through the years, this type of photography has gradually become less popular. Nowadays, people prefer color pictures because they are colorful and more affordable.
The latest camera models have settings for black and white photography and some photo editing software enables photographers to change color photographs into black and white. Any of these methods can be used to achieve the classic black and white look that can impress any viewer. - Adobe Photodeluxe Is A Snap To Use By : Morgan Hamilton

My husband and I live on a fishing lake in the state of Minnesota. The next state record muskie and small mouth bass are expected to be caught here. Before we moved to our house on the lake my husband and I were used to making a few fishing trips every year. We are both keen on fishing and have taken many fishing pictures. Since moving to the lake, our photo collection has been constantly growing as we are adding pictures to it monthly.
When living on a lake you should expect more company and overnight guests but we enjoy sharing this beautiful place with others, so this is not an issue for us. Every time one of our guests catches a fish we take pictures. Every two months we develop films loaded with hundreds of fishing pictures. My husband and I started thinking about making a system which would allow our guests who caught fish to enjoy the pictures, as well. - The Grace Of An Ansel Adams Poster By : Morgan Hamilton
If you're really looking to juice up the walls of your home or office, you can’t really go wrong with some Ansel Adams posters. Some of the most beautiful and breathtaking images of the Americas, especially the western United States, are portrayed in Ansel Adams’ photography, and I’m a huge fan of his work. I have several Ansel Adams Posters in my home and I especially enjoyed his shot of the American West. They are truly breathtaking.
One of my favorite Ansel Adams posters is his famous image of Yosemite’s Halfdome, with a daytime moon behind it. What a beautiful image one of our greatest national treasures. This Ansel Adams poster always fills me with a sense of awe and wonder and never fails to take me back to the wonderful memories of when I used a backpack in this amazing land. - Why You Need A Professional Photographer To Address Your Website Needs By : Gabriel Adams -
One of the most well-known quotes in the world is, “A picture is worth a thousand words”. However with the advent of the internet and the short attention span of the new video game generation, I think that the new quote should probably be changed to “A picture is worth a million words”.
A web site designer needs to keep this in mind when creating a new web site. People will usually not stay very long to read about your product, unless they are drawn into the web site by something that catches their eye. This something is usually a picture that tells a compelling story that strikes interest in the visitor. Finding a great picture sounds like an easy task, but few web designers have the skills to do this on their own. The only way to truly know that you are getting the best pictures for your web site is to enlist the help of a professional commercial photographer. - Postage Gets Personal By : Stacey Moore

Setting the Scene - New Digital Cameras Offer Great Pictures In A Flash By : Stacey Moore
What's wrong with my picture? Maybe it's blurry, or the people in it have "red eye." Or perhaps there just wasn't enough light when the image was captured. Despite the digital revolution in cameras-with the ability to instantly look at a snapshot and know whether it's a keeper, without having to print poor shots-it can be disappointing to know that a priceless moment has been immortalized with a lousy picture. It is also unfortunate when precious photo opportunities are missed because of dead batteries or cameras.
First things first. Don't blame the photographer. In many cases, the camera may be the source of your frustrations. While it may be true that digital is digital and what you see is what you get, there are definite distinctions between cameras. Many of the latest models have built-in features that can help eliminate the traditional problems faced by amateur shutterbugs. - Picture Perfect Halloween Photo Contest By : Stacey Moore
When scary and creepy are fun, and Dracula is a subject you can really sink your teeth into, then it must be Halloween. The trick for amateur photographers is to capture all those Halloween moments on film so they will become cherished memories. The treat is a Halloween photography contest in which they might win a cornucopia of prizes, including a Fujifilm FinePix F30 camera, a trip to HersheyPark, a Sprint multimedia mobile phone, and a limited edition set of It's a Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown postage stamps.
There are plenty of contest categories to choose from, including best-costumed pet, spookiest photo, cute kids and best costume. - Focusing On That One-time-use Camera By : Stacey Moore
Though nearly 60 percent of American households own an expensive camera, when they leave it at home, or the battery is dead or the children want to take their own pictures, most families will turn to a one-time-use camera.
According to a recent survey conducted by Opinion Research Corporation, which was commissioned by Eastman Kodak Company, 90 percent of American consumers use one-time-use cameras, seeing them as a great alternative to expensive cameras if their expensive camera isn't available. When people want to protect their cameras from the elements (or the sticky fingers of small children), eight in 10 consumers turn to a one-time-use camera to capture crisp, clear, high-quality pictures. - Travel Photos By : Stacey Moore

People have business cards so that they can increase their business. So, individuals should really take note of what their business cards look like and if they really promote business or not. For example, a photographer who uses business cards should really think of good business card designs that not only show off their work but also provide the important information for clients.
For example, a photographer may consider having a business card with several small block photos on the back of the card with a gloss overlay. Those way potential clients can see the photographer’s work and a variety of poses and situations. This conveys the photographer’s style and how he does his work. On the other side of the business cards should be the photographer’s phone number, web address, email address, and even studio address so potential client’s can easily get in touch. So much important information can be placed on such a tiny little card that photographer’s should really take advantage of it. - E-photo Albums By : Jonathon Hardcastle -
Grandma might be the one doing the whining, if you have just graduated but your happy pictures can only be found online. Printing out multiple copies of your digital images and then having to assort them, before you have to sit down to create a photo-album that included dates, nametags, and even exam notes, seems like a big hassle. But then again, sending only a couple of hard copies to your mom or best-friend for them to use and decorate their fridge area, will not bring smiles to that poor grandma who wants a chance to show how proud she is of your accomplishment and she also wants to feel special. So, if your graduation, bachelors, wedding, baby, birthday, summer, camping, pool, pictures are corny enough for you to share them with friends by uploading them online in distant servers, why not taking the same amount of time to electronically create a photo-album everyone will cherish for years to come?
It is about time we face it. Although the original idea of pressing some buttons to produce a clear copy of the digital images stored in a computer's memory seemed extremely hassle-free at the beginning, the truth is that the more you use your digital picture the more digital pictures stay in that computer's memory for a long time. But storing them in a hard drive at home or online, does not permit everyone that wishes to view them to be able to do so, since not everyone knows how to log on to the Internet, if in fact an internet connection is available, or how to view and download their photograph copies from your choice of online image hosting server. - Outdoor Photography By : Jonathon Hardcastle -
If you are interested in beginning an interesting and exciting hobby while taking advantage of the outdoor opportunities of your city, it is time to consider buying a camera and photograph nature, people, sights, sports , landmarks, the sky, the sun and the landscape. The possibilities are endless and your intuition can lead you anywhere you believe you are going to take your next amazing photograph.
Being an amateur photographer, less than a year ago I decided to invest in buying a digital camera and a couple of extra lenses. Since then, I have taken more than 2,000 pictures of places and people trying to focus on what I wanted to portray and tell a story through the selected imagery. Although my photographic illustrations have not always been really great, I am extremely happy I decided to take this hobby as I have been walking the city streets since then looking with a different eye the things I have been crossing indifferently in the past. - Setting The White Balance By : dave (Author)
You will have to find this one in your manual. In a nutshell if the human eye looks at a sheet of white paper in the morning it looks white because our eye adjusts to whit automatically but the camera will see the paper as having a blue cast.
If the same bit of paper was held up in front of our eye at lunchtime and again at sunset our eye still compensates and sees the paper as white but not so with the camera. So you can set your camera at “auto white balance” which takes an average only and is most of the time incorrect. - Orange Photography For Mobile Phones By : dave (Author)
