- 10 Commandments In Public By : Morgan Hamilton
Thinking about the 10 commandments and the controversies concerning them, especially more recent ones and especially in this county, is being considered a strange thing to do. Those have served as the basis of Judaism and in the same time they are still as important to Christianity too, giving people a simple system of strict rules how they have to live their lives.
It is actually a rare situation that such controversies appeared over so simple things as the 10 commandments. Both sides eagerly insist on what they think is right, one believing that those great rules should be publicly displayed everywhere, while the other considers that all people have their right to choose their religion and their beliefs, and that's why no publicity is needed. - 1948: Israel Fulfills Bible Prophecies By : Aisha Cristal
Prior to 1948, Israel last existed as an independent nation in 606 B.C. when the first captives of Israel were taken by Nebuchadnezzar. The destruction of Israel at the hands of the Babylonians was completed in 587 B.C. with the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple. For 70 biblical years (approximately 69 years on the Gregorian calendar), the Jewish people were held as captives in Babylon. In 537 B.C., the Persian King Cyrus conquered Babylon and issued a decree for the Jews to return to their land and rebuild the Temple. It was during the Babylonian captivity and this return to Israel that Ezekiel appeared as a prophet and provided the following information on the future existence of Israel as an independent nation: - 4 Steps To Christian Inspiration By : Sean Mize
Many times we study how to do things faster and better but we skip the essential step of inspiration. When we are inspired by the Holy Spirit we have a wealth of ability with which to work. When we are empowered by Christian inspiration we “can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth us” (Phil. 4:13, KJV). We read in Job: “But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding.” (Job 32:8, KJV) - A Look At The History Of Taoism And What Is Is By : Gregg Hall
Tao which is actually pronounced as "dow" is translated to mean the way or path in English. Tao in reality is not so easily definable. Tao is the power of the universe that encompasses and moves through all things, both living and non living. By far, the ancient Egyptian culture represents one of the least understood and most interesting facets of beliefs throughout human history. In this article, we'll give you a basic idea of what modern day man knows about what the ancient Egyptians put their faith in.
Our understanding of Egyptian religion is far from complete. Many of the things that we know about their religion seem incomplete; we seem to have found alternate gods they've worshipped that served the same purposes, as well as conflicting stories about what they believed about how the world was formed. While our knowledge is somewhat lacking, we'll focus on what we do know. - A Quick Introduction to Angel Chi Art By : Gen Wright

As someone who has been a devout practitioner of Catholicism for as long as I've been breathing, it stands to reason that many of my family and friends are Catholics as well. People always gravitated to those who share similar values. This is comforting on many levels, and helps reinforce my faith all the more.
In addition, these are the people that I really care about and cherish in my life and I know what they hold dear. For the most part, because I know them so well, I can be sure that they'll appreciate receiving Catholic gifts on special occasions. It's becoming increasingly difficult for me to find stores in my area that carry Catholic gifts in their inventory, but because of the marvels of the Internet, I'm always able to find quality items. These days, there are numerous websites that are dedicated solely to selling Catholic gifts, which is great if you are shopping for baptisms, first communions, confirmations, Christmas. Whenever one of these occasions comes up for someone in my circle of family and friends, I always go online because I know there will be a plethora of high-quality and affordable Catholic gifts to choose from. - A Review on Psychic Reading by Phone By : Gen Wright

Isn't God good? There are times when we can get upset with those around us and only turn to One who is True and loving. I have had the pleasure of serving as a Youth Pastor and as a Senior Pastor. I have noticed slights and social Faux Pas on the part of others. What I have gleaned is there is a sense from some Senior Pastors that their calling is somehow better than those of a Youth or Associate Pastor. - Ask For Help If You Need It - Guardian Angels Are Here to Help By : Gen Wright

In Judaism, a boy takes on the responsibilities of an adult in the Jewish community at the age of thirteen. As an observance of this occasion, a ceremony is held often followed by a celebration. Now days, this ceremony and celebration are often mistakenly referred to as a Bar Mitzvah. The Bar Mitzvah is not the event but the boy the event is being held in honor of. The word 'bar' is Hebrew for son and 'mitzvah' is the word for commandment. Thus, at thirteen, a boy becomes Bar Mitzvah, or Son of the Commandment.
Before the age of thirteen, the parents have full responsibility for the boy's actions in regard to Jewish law and tradition. Once a boy is thirteen, he becomes fully accountable for his own actions, whether good or bad, in keeping the laws and traditions of his community. He is also now privileged to participate fully as an adult, as well. He can be called to read from the Torah (the five books of Moses) and Haftarah (the books of the Prophets), and be part of a Minyan or prayer quorum. - Benny Hinn Ministries By : Jamie CG

So as we already know the DH2 was written after the fall of Jerusalem approximately between 586 and 400 BCE. At that hard time the author tried to change the focus of DH1 so that people could understand the all events that happened correctly and continue to believe in God. So the first thin he did in DH2 – he removed all references to Davidic covenant. Now we have the covenant with Moses that supersedes all covenants. The Solomonic covenant is changed. We do not often recognize traditional Bible studies for children for their enjoyable nature. Many kids experience these weekly lessons as boring lectures. Children do not look forward to going to Sunday school or Wednesday church meetings especially after spending all week in school.
I have observed that Bible studies for children have come a long way since the strict approaches that were used years ago. A lot of church organizations have recognized that kids learn through play. As a result, they have incorporated play activities and games into Bible studies for kids. These learning activities can turn into fun lessons that have memorable lessons with the introduction of an element of play. - Birth Account in Matthew and Luke By : Gabriel
The book of Matthew begins with Jesus’ lineage. Maybe it was unnecessary, but I compared Jesus’ lineage in Matthew with chronicles in the Old Testament (1Chronicles 1-3). I just wanted to ensure the reliability of Matthew. I must admit that the family tree is from Abraham till Joseph, Jesus father. So, the first difference in Matthew 1:8, it is told “Jehoram the father of Uzziah” and in 1Chronicles 3:11 Jehoram had a son, Ahaziah. Than in Matthew 1:9 Uzziah had a son Jotham and in Old Testament (1Chr3:11,12) Ahaziah-Joash- Amaziah- Azariah- Jotham. We can see that three generations are lost. Look further - “…Josiah the father of Jeconiah…” (Mt1:11) and Josiah – Jehoiakim, Jehoiachin (a variant of Jeconiah) his son (1Chr 3:15,16). Also in 2Kings24:6 we have the confirmation, that Jeconiah was Jehoiakim’s son, not Josiah’s one. And in Matthew1:12 it’s told that Shealtiel was Zerubbabel’s father but in 1Chronicles3:17-19 it’s told that Shealtiel had a brother, Pedaiah and Pedaiah had a son, Zerubbabel. And here we have an interesting thing – in xEzra5:2 we read that Zerubbabel was Shealtiel’s son (the Matthew version). But further I’m lost, because there are no names named in Matthew in the Old Testament. So that is what we have with lineage in Matthew. - Building a youth ministry By : Jamie CG

The nativity and the birth of Jesus Christ are the fundamental part of Christmas. It’s the story of Mary and Joseph travelling to Bethlehem to be counted for the census. Poor Mary was heavily pregnant and had to ride on a donkey. When they got to Bethlehem all the inns were full, and Mary and Joseph spent the night in a stable, where Mary gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God. Angels, shepherds and three wise men from the east came to visit Jesus, who was lying in a manger. This is the traditional image we have of the nativity scene.
To make a cardboard nativity scene al you need is...

Why is the death, burial, and subsequent resurrection of Jesus Christ such a big deal? Why didn’t Jesus just die like everyone else and go to Heaven and wait for us there? Why did it have to be so gruesome and public, His death, His burial, and His resurrection? Because it validates everything Jesus said while He was on earth, it validates everything he taught and shared for three years. - Deuteronomy By : Gabriel

While reading the book of John the first mention about eternal life we have in John 3:14-21. It is told that “everyone who believes in him [Jesus] may have eternal life”. Another words, we will get eternal life if we believe in Jesus.
Jesus talks about belief. In order to get eternal life we must believe. There is an interesting thing – who believes in Jesus believes not only in Jesus but in the one who sent Jesus, in God (John5:24, 12:44-50). Jesus emphasizes that if we believe in him we believe in God. There is no other way to believe in God without believing in Jesus and on the contrary. There are many statements in the gospel of John where Jesus teaches this (John3:36, 6:40, 47, 8:12, 12:44). - Eulogy Examples to Help You Prepare By : Robert D. Thomson

According to the online etymology dictionary, religion, in its modern sense, is the "recognition of, obedience to, and worship of a higher, unseen power." Numerous studies over the centuries have supported that religion is a human phenomenon of interaction and spiritual exchange based on a group of beliefs or attitudes concerning a real or imagined object or person. In particular, religion is a system of thought considered to have a supernatural, sacred, or divine character, which is based on a set of moral codes, practices, institutions, values, and rituals, associated with the specific beliefs examined.
Also referred to as "faith" or "system of beliefs," religion is usually defined as an agreed set of rules illustrated by a set of commonly exercised practices. These practices are carried out by humans in their effort to understand the natural forces that govern their lives and accept the biggest change of them all; that of death. In fear of the unknown, humans have been able to confront the never-ending change in life and interact with each other by creating a particular set of beliefs and practicing rituals that do represent their commonly agreed principles. - Funny Christmas Facts By : Robert D. Linen comes from the fiber of the flax plant, and is the oldest “vegetable” material used for clothing. It is natural that since it has been around so long that it would have been mentioned in the Bible. Linen was not easily dyed, and so was usually left white, which was its natural color, and this might be part of the reason it was seen as a symbol of purity. There are frequent mentions of it in this context in the Old Testament.
As far back as the Hebrew captivity and the story of Moses, linen was involved. One of the seven plagues directed against the Egyptians destroyed crops, and the Bible states that “the flax and the barley was smitten.” Flax is the plant that yields the fibers woven in linen. - Living Your Christian Life - How To Set Everyday Examples By : Sul Man

Do you know anything about the Bible? I used to go to church on Sundays. I was baptized a Christian when I was a child and my parents used to bring me to church every Sunday. However, when I was in high school I began to lose interest in religious matters. There were a lot more interesting things to do than going to church. The Bible studies for children that I used to enjoy were not as fun as when I was seven.
I was reunited with the Bible when I was in college. I was enrolled in a course called Bible as Literature. The course enkindled my interest on the book and my views about it changed. I realized that the Bible is a lot more than just a story book that has the interesting stories that I enjoyed when I attended bible studies for children. From that point on, the Bible has played an important role on my family’s life. I was also pleased when I found out that you can learn about the Bible through the World-Wide-Web. - Making your Site Christian Friendly By : Robert D. Thomson

It was a miracle! How many times have you heard someone say that? Probably hundreds of times. But they don't really mean that it was a miracle – what they really mean is that the event they witnessed was amazing, improbable, or inexplicable.
But are there real miracles? Have there been times that the natural laws of the universe, such as gravity, or even death, have been stopped, changed, or reversed? To find the answer to this question, we must turn to the Bible. - Mission Trip Basics By : Mansi Gupta
A popular proverb say’s “one small good deed is better than the thousand grandest thoughts”. Mission trip travel applies rightly to this saying. Traveling on mission requires traveling not for one’s own joy and recreation but for much more noble cause of giving and serving humanity. Happiness does not always relate to receiving gifts and services, on the contrary even serving others give a serene sense of pleasure to the person who has done some kind of charity. Even the thought of being able to serve someone less fortunate and being able to bring a smile on the face of some suffering from any kind of short comings increases the self esteem of any individual. All these divine thoughts have lead to an ever-increasing number of mission trips throughout the world. - Mormon Videos: No Longer on the Sidelines By : Robert D. Thomson

Many in the Muslim community are in an uproar over a Muhammad cartoon appearing in newspapers across Europe. One such Muhammad cartoon depicts the Islamic prophet wearing a turban containing a bomb.
If you write for a living, you probably have made judgment calls regarding what you will write and how that information will be conveyed. Definitely, I am of the “free speech” mind, but I must tell you that there are enough fanatics in this world who would seek the death of others in the name of their beliefs. While I enjoy covering information of a religious nature I am loathe to printing or republishing anything that offends someone’s religion, no matter how much I may disagree with it. - My Belief In Tarot Cards By : Morgan Hamilton
To be honest, I believe in tarot cards and in the world of psychics and the occult. I know that there a lot of things in this world that we don’t understand. I have come to realize that just because we don’t understand something does not mean that it isn’t real.
I believe that knowing that we don’t know everything is the key to learning and growth. Not having the proof in the palms of our hands is not a guarantee that something is just a figment of someone else’s imagination. - Narcissism And Evil By : Sam Vaknin
In his bestselling "People of the Lie", Scott Peck claims that narcissists are evil. Are they?
The concept of "evil" in this age of moral relativism is slippery and ambiguous. The "Oxford Companion to Philosophy" (Oxford University Press, 1995) defines it thus: "The suffering which results from morally wrong human choices." - Old Testament: Deuteronomy History By : Gabriel
The Jews who are known for their strict obeying the Law Code (recognized as Torah). But it was not mentioned for 600 years, since Moses put it in to the arc (Deut.31:25,26)! God said to Joshua (came after Moses) to keep the law Moses’ given and to obey all the law do not turn from right or the left (Joshua 1:6). Time passes. Josiah, the son of king Amon (2Kings21:23,26; 2Chron.33:25), is now the king. Once he sends his secretary to Hilkiah, the high priest, in his own purposes. But Josiah’s secretary returns with the Book of the Law found by Hilkiah in the temple of the Lord (2Kings 22:3-8). - Old Testament: Times of Moses and Aaron By : Gabriel
The stories due to the theme of traveling (mainly books of Exodus and Numbers) were written by known to us J-, E-, P-, R- authors. We’ll make an accent on Elohist (E) and Pristley (P) authors. In particular those authors sown the confusion in relations between Moses, Aaron and roles of Moses and Aaron made by God. You see, E- and P- authors have the specific point of view concerning the importance of Moses and Aaron in Jewish nation. And just those differences in views create confusion in comprehending OT- stories. - Old Testament; J-author of Pentateuch By : Gabriel
Anyway if we follow the advice there’ll still be some black spots. For example, the mess with God’s name or often seen doublets. Just remember revealing to Abraham and naming himself as Yahweh (Gen.13:4) and the same story with Moses in Exodus; or repeating entering the arc by Noah. There are a lot of such doublets in Old Testament particularly in first five books. And probably the thesis that Pentateuch is not Moses’ work but the collection of four-author’s one has the right to exist. Among Redactor, Priestly source, Elohist author and Jehwist author (J-author), the last one is the most human, creative one. And whether you’ve read the Bible from the beginning till the end or not, you surely know the most first stories of OT, where the significant part is created by J-author. - Online Psychics – Are They For Real?
