The death of loved ones brings more than just grief; it creates a long list of questions about that person that can no longer be answered. Drawing up a will is one of the important steps in making sure your final wishes are carried out and end-of-life planning helps to ease the burden of death for your family.
It's never too early to plan and share your last wishes: - Well Water Wisdom By : Stacey Moore
Having a well can seemingly offer greater control over a homeowner's water source. Yet all wells draw from migrating underground water sources, which are subject to pollution. Homeowners with private wells have to assume command of the supply and not just the in-house water distribution system. That means water samples have to periodically be sent to a qualified lab for purity testing. The lab can suggest remedial measures, if needed.
Homeowners should also inspect and maintain the system that controls the volume and pressure of the water supply, say the experts at HouseMaster, leaders in the home inspection industry. - Avoid Common Moving Mistakes By : Stacey Moore
The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that more than 15 percent of the population moves every year. If you're ever among them, there are a few things you should know that can help make the process less confusing and complex.
First, be aware that less than 5 percent of consumers were totally satisfied with their move experience, according to a benchmark survey recently completed by a free Web site designed to guide users through each step of a real estate transaction and move. Often, that's the result of failing to properly plan and prepare for such a life-changing event. For instance, did you know you need to select a moving company at least four to six weeks in advance? More common mistakes that movers make include: - How To Choose In An Open Energy Market By : Stacey Moore

With approximately 1 billion valentine cards sent each year, Valentine's Day is the traditional date when couples are prompted to express their affection for each other, usually through a romantic greeting card. Unfortunately, a recent national survey conducted by Harris Interactive found that, for most couples, the conversation stops there.
The Pill Lo Talk survey found that couples reported difficulty in discussing relationship expectations (52 percent) and feelings (51 percent), the very topics both men and women want to talk about more often with their partners. Instead, couples are finding a safe haven in work (86 percent) and finances (81 percent), the topics they reported discussing most frequently. Even more surprising is the fact that birth control and family planning fall last on a couple's conversation agenda. - Hybrid Scrapbooking. Mixing Trends Of Past And Present By : Stacey Moore

A few simple tips will help you tidy up even the most disorganized areas in your home:
• According to Netscape.com, there are 76 million cases of food-borne illnesses annually and most of those occur from pathogens in the home. Unless you have some sort of high-tech, state-of-the-art, self-cleaning cabinets, you'll have to clean out your shelves-yourself! After removing all contents, wipe surfaces down with a disinfecting cleaner or cleaning wipe. If you have machine-washable shelf liner, take the time to delicately wash it before reinstalling. Allow the shelves and liner to thoroughly dry before restocking. - Home Sweet Home By : Steve Gillman

In our life, whenever we achieve anything, we need acknowledgement. If no body acknowledges our achievements, we feel useless. For example, consider that you are the only person left on the earth and you get a very large diamond. There is no body else to congratulate you. What will you do with the diamond? - Birthday Cards - Right Selection Is Important By : CD Mohatta

We all make New Year resolutions. We draw a long list of do's and don'ts on the New Year eve. And manage to break most of the resolutions within one to two months. A birthday is only for celebrations. What if instead of making resolutions on New Year we make them on our birthdays? New Year is common to all, but birthdays are individual, and the resolution may therefore have a lasting impact.
These are my resolutions on my birthday. I wonder about how many readers will agree with them, but please read on. I will become a good person now onwards. I know that I am already a good person, but I will try to make myself better. I will not hurt anyone with my words or deed. I will be compassionate towards all and will control my anger as much as possible. I will release my love to all and keep my hatreds and dislikes to myself. I will try to do a work that gives me money but also gives something to the society. I will help everyone who I can help. I will work truthfully and be honest in my dealings with my co-workers even if that hurts me. I will try to donate to charities as much as I can and I will try to join some volunteer organizations to help society. I will pray for all and make confessions to God about my mistakes everyday. I will forgive all who hurt me and forget past acrimony. I don't know when death will approach me, so I will always be alert about my actions and act in the way that pleases my maker. - Some Thoughts On Orphans By : CD Mohatta
Recently I came across Plant A Flower Day. While thinking of flowers my thoughts went to orphans. I began thinking about orphans, their parents, and those who take care of them.
What kind of parents are these who leave their child on the steps of an orphanage and that too an infant. The infant who needs mothers love is dropped on the steps, in the hope that the infant will cry, someone will listen and come and pick up the infant. What can be a more brutal act than this? Mother is compared to God. Who do I compare such mothers with? I have had close interactions with an orphanage in India. When I began asking for the list of food items that they need for the infants, I was given a list of food that the infant should rightfully get from mother. Nature never imagined that the infant will be thrown away, so nature never provided for defenses that are needed, if mothers milk is not provided. Why the mother should deprive an infant of this? How will the mother live after throwing away her child. Sometimes I think that unless the mother is absolute evil, she will go crazy searching for her child. The guilt would kill her. How can she eat when she does not know if her child has had food? How will she laugh, when she is unsure if her child is not crying? How will she ever know if her child is alive or dead? - Today's Children By : CD Mohatta
Children today are different from what their parents were in their childhod. The age of innocence ends very early today compared to yesteryears. Children are very well aware of their surrounding world and of daily affairs. The rate of literacy
in first world countries is very high and increasing in the other nations. Most children receive a formal education starting with kindergarten and then school. There is a sense of early maturity in terms of intellect among kids. The internet enables any child to get information on any topic be it good or bad. Most kids read newspapers and are aware of current affairs and have their say on most topics. Surveys show, buying habits of families are greatly influenced by the children of the family. So it is very fair to say how children are socialized today determines the destiny of society, because ultimately these kids will grow up to become responsible citizens- responsible if they are groomed today for the betterment of society.
It's true that children today are getting much more freedom than ever- and this is only increasing. In the US, we see cases where children sue their parents for some or the other issue. Macaulay Culkin, the home alone star sued his parents at the age of 16 for money misappropriation. The truth of the story, no one can decide. Children are exposed to violent TV shows most hours of the day. The video games famous today are full of blood and gore. More the violence, better are the sales. Sometime back in an American public school, one fine lad entered with a gun and shot down many students and teachers. And this is not a lone incident. - Is Technology Isolating Us From Friends And Family By : CD Mohatta
Psychologists have done studies on the effects of internet chats on people. The number of cases going to doctors are increasing day by day. People who are shy and reticent in the real world, log on chats to vent out their frustration. They assume pseudo identities and assume a new life, sitting hours at a stretch. These cases have been causes of many marital problems and divorces. Rejection by cyber friends has also been a big reason of depression cases. It only serves to increase loneliness which has been proved.
Even internet surfing, to some has become an addiction. Hours and hours are spent online with no care of the real world. Similarly with online games. People suddenly become recluse. They ignore their home and family. Hanging out is no longer for them. This phenomenon is real in many places. Loneliness creates frustration with the outside world. A gregarious attitude is lost. Everything is a product of new and latest innovations of technology companies. And they are only researching and testing for more of these gadgets. - Birthday - Let Us Deserve To Celebrate It By : CD Mohatta
Every day is the same day. Days differ only in few ways- weather conditions, sunrise and sunset time. Otherwise all the days are same. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. This has been going on since billions of years and will continue, till the cosmos collapses. Then why do we treat a day different than other? The difference is not in the day, but in our moods, wishes, outlook, frustration, meetings and non meeting achievements, failures etc. If what makes us feel good occurs on a day, we call it a great day. Otherwise, it can be called as a boring day, or a useless day or whatever.
So, why do we love our birthday? Why do we celebrate it? Why do we feel good about it? I mean most of us. For some people including myself, a birthday may be no different than any other day. So let us talk of people who celebrate their birthday. They do it because they were born on that day. Am I correct? But is their birth a cause of celebration? What have they achieved to celebrate? Billions of people inhabit the earth, so what is so great about a single person? - Water Your Lawn Like A Pro And Win A Golf Trip By : Stacey Moore

By : Gabriel Adams -
In light of the recent news that the BBC will be saving more than £4 million by the closure of its workplace nurseries this article looks at if this fate is likely to hit more nurseries or if the BBC is bucking the trend.
Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the BBC’s decision to spend the £4.1 million saved from nursery closures on programming or not, the closure of 7 subsidised nurseries would at first glance appear to be against the norm. - Are You Rushing Away From True Success? By : Gabriel Adams -
Success is something that everyone strives for. However success can be measured in many different ways, a successful career, a successful family life, being successful spiritually, etc. The best way to be successful is to work hard, stay determined, and try to stay true to yourself and your family. Sometimes we can do all of these things and we still do not get the type of success we are looking to achieve. Many times the reason we do not achieve success is that we are trying so hard all of the time that we miss the opportunities to be successful when they come along. These opportunities do not come around all of the time, so if we miss one, then we might not ever get that opportunity again. Many times opportunities come in a form that you would normally not see unless you take your time and really observe your surroundings. The best way to be successful is to relax and take your time in life to capture every opportunity that comes your way. - A Brief History Of Children's Toys By : Gabriel Adams -
At some point in all of our lives, a wooden toy has made an appearance. It’s handcrafted look and quality gives it an allure all its own. We’ve been drawn to them. From a wooden top, to a Nutcracker toy, wood toys have left an impression on all of us. The child in all of us still yearns for the days when toys were simple. Toys that don’t make loud sounds or take batteries are few and far between. However, an extensive collection of wood toys still exists if you know where to look.
Wood toys have been around for hundreds of years. Although we don’t know exactly when they came about, archeologists have uncovered primitive wooden spinning tops and other toys. This proves that wooden toys have held a special quality for nearly every generation. The ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Roman civilizations have all shown evidence of possessing wooden toys. This obviously speaks well to their durability and time-tested practicality. - Kid’s Toys: Are The Latest Actually The Best? By : Gabriel Adams -
New toys hit the market all the time. If you have children, then you know how it sounds to hear them constantly asking for the latest toy on the commercials or showing you all the things they would like to have as you go through the store. As a parent, we groan because we know how quickly our children lose interest in most new toys. How do you get them to stay interested in the toys they have?
To get the most out of the toys you purchase for your child, don’t overindulge in the latest fad toy that is bound to be hard to find, over prices, and tossed aside as quickly as it caught their interest. Start by buying them toys that will be usable as they get older. Most children stop playing with a toy because it has become predictable with the same outcome. Try getting them toys that use their imagination and skills. This will allow them to play differently with the toy and get more activity out of it. - Children’s Toys: Choosing Quality Toys For Your Children By : Gabriel Adams -
Choosing quality toys for your children should be a priority. With so many to choose from, the consumer has the opportunity to demand excellence from toy manufacturers. Over time, the sturdy dollhouses made from real wood and the tough Tonka trucks made of metal have been replaced with plastic replicas that aren’t very durable.
You should also look for toys that offer your child the chance to use their imagination. This can include blocks, Legos, Play Doh, art supplies, and crafts. These toys offer your child the chance to be creative rather than just following the directions of other toys on the market. I have a son that just turned one about three months ago. We had a small party for our friends and family, and my wife and I told everyone that he did not need any more toys, because he had enough. Did anyone listen? No. We still received more toys than we know what to do with. We got some simple toys like books, and stuffed animals, but we also received all different types of toys that light up, sing, and even dance. These toys were great, but some of them did not have any educational value, and some of them did not last very long in the hands of a very hyperactive one year old boy.
What ever happened to the old school toys that we used to have when we were kids? I decided to search for heirloom children’s toys on the internet, and to my surprise many of the toys I played with when I was a kid were still available. - 4 Things You Should Know About Raising Beef Cows By : Gabriel Adams -

On the flip side if you raise them correctly in a healthy, happy home, they can reap benefits for a lifetime. Some of these lifelong benefits include having confidence in themselves, being a productive member of society, and also the ability to have healthy relationships with other people. - Wooden Toys: A Return To Basics By : Gabriel Adams -
As a child, I can remember playing for hours with wooden toys. It was always a new adventure to build forts and other projects from wooden blocks. Looking back, those were some really fun times. Wooden toys allowed us to use or imaginations. Nowadays, it seems all the toys on the market are electronical. This is to keep up with the demands of our children in today’s society.
When it comes to toys, technology may be hindering the development of our children’s imaginations. Don’t get me wrong, the graphics on the video games and laptops for children are quite amazing. However, I just don’t see that many children in this age are able to enjoy playing with much of anything that isn’t electronic. This is even for the older children with the iPods and MP3 Players. - Children's Wooden Furniture - A Great Investment By : Gabriel Adams -
Children’s wooden furniture is a great investment in quality items for them. Since the furniture is made of a solid wood, it will stay looking nice for a very long time as well as stand up to the roughness of most any child. There are many types of children’s furniture to choose from including desks, toy chests, tables with chairs, book shelves, and the famous rocking horse.
Many of these items can be found in most retail stores; however you won’t find the same quality products as you will purchasing wooden furniture. Most of these items manufactured today are commercialized, with the cartoon characters our children love plastered all over them in an effort to help them sale. They are too often made of particle board and plastics. In addition, they are often over priced and of very poor quality. - Nursing Home Abuse: An Issue You Should Be Aware Of By : Gabriel Adams -

With gas prices, housing costs, and many other important things on the rise, it is even more important to live frugally. Frugal living is not just something that you can do from time to time; it is a change in the way you live your life. Many people struggle to make ends meet and pay their bills. Many of these people are living an extravagant lifestyle that they can not afford. If they would try to live a more frugal life, then they would probably be able to get their finances under control. Here are a few ways that you can live a frugal life.
I believe that one of the number one reasons people get into debt is they allow themselves to make too many impulse purchases. Make sure that you only buy things that are a necessity. If something is not necessary, then you need to start a fund and save up money to make that purchase. One of the worst things that a person can do is run up large credit card bills, because the interest will get you deeper into debt before you know it. - Tips For Preparing For Your New Baby By : Gabriel Adams -

My son’s party was coming up in a few weeks, and my wife was going to throw a huge party for him. We invited about fifty people to this party, and about twenty of them were kids. I love kids just as much as the next guy, but I was a little worried when I heard how many of them were coming to my house. My main concern was what we are going to do to keep all of these kids, most of them under the age of eight, occupied for three hours. Normally the kids would just play with your kid’s toys, but my son was turning one, so his toys do not interest older kids very much. Just when I thought it was hopeless my wife came up with the idea to get an inflatable toy for the back yard. I thought this was great idea. Inflatable toys are great for kids of all ages, and even adults like to jump. The next thing that we had to decide on was which one of the inflatable toys we wanted to get for my son’s party. - Get Rid Of Some Of That Stuff! By : Gabriel Adams -
If you're not careful about periodically removing kid toys and games from the home, you could easily find yourself hoarding literal piles of this stuff as if they were precious metals. This goes for kids clothes as well, which wouldn't be such an issue if they were being used. The problem is that oftentimes, they haven't been used for years. Toys get broken, games miss pieces, and clothing no longer fits. Yet year after year, these items seemingly stake a claim in the home as if they're part of the family tree.
What is it about these things that make them so hard to get rid of? Is it their nostalgic value? Do we actually believe that one day, we'll fix those broken toys? Is anyone else in the house convinced that we'll really replace the tokens in our favorite board games? And what about kids clothes? We might be able to persuade ourselves that those old hand-me downs will come in handy by the time the second generation family rolls around. But is there any guarantee that this generation will even want to wear them? - Watch Satellite TV On Computer – Why Restrict To the TV? By : Davion W

So you've decided that it's time to update your bathroom. Whether you're planning to sell your home or you've simply decided your family needs a more updated space, there are a few important decisions you should make before you start.
First of all, consider what needs to go (no pun intended). Are you remodeling because all of the fixtures- tub, shower, toilet and sink- are outdated? Or is there a specific area of the bathroom that doesn't work for you? Maybe the floor is outdated or peeling, or the mirrors are in inconvenient places, or you'd like to knock out a closet or install some shelving. Before you start, pin down the exact things about your bathroom that need work. Don't immediately assume you need to overhaul the entire room. You may be able to save yourself big bucks by starting with the problem areas. If your bathroom seems too small, you might not need to tear out a wall. Maybe you just need a pedestal sink instead of a cabinet one. - Simple Steps For Safe Asbestos Bag Disposal By : Kirsten Hawkins
