Mediaset and Vodafone Italia have signed an agreement designed to accelerate and boost the technology and commercial rollout of mobile terrestrial digital TV using DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcast - Handheld) technology in Italy, the first country in Europe to do so.
Under the agreement, Vodafone Italia is to use Mediaset's multiplex DVB-H capacity for a period of five years, with an option on a further five years. Vodafone Italia will contribute to the launch by making its technology and broadcast infrastructure available in order to complete the network, thereby enabling the rollout of the new service during 2006. - Nokia N80 Is Best Mobile Phone Imaging Device 2006
Nokia today revealed that the Nokia N80 multimedia computer has been voted the Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe 2006 by the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA), the largest photo and imaging press association in Europe. The award is an endorsement of the Nokia N80's industry-leading feature set, which makes it one of the most high performance devices currently available in the marketplace.

Nokia announced today that the Nokia N73, a 3G (WCDMA) (*1) multimedia computer with the features of a digital camera, has been selected for Softbank Mobile Corp.'s 3G handset line-up. The Nokia N73 belongs to the Nokia Nseries family, and is the second model in the series to be released in Japan.
